Review several records for depth, construction, date and available yield/water information rather than copying one nearby well.

Use Missouri DNR’s linked mapping to understand geology, casing considerations and areas where karst/sinkhole context may matter.

Map septic and well together
Onsite wastewater and private water must be placed with adequate separation and site/soil conditions; treating them as separate afterthoughts can make a plan fail.

Inspect sinkholes, losing streams and drainage
Visible depressions or drainage to karst features deserve parcel-specific geotechnical/environmental attention before siting structures or wastewater.

Test actual water quality
Historical well records and aquifer maps do not replace current sampling of the actual source that will serve the property.
