Use the parcel map to organize questions—not to settle them.

    Open the official county property appraiser

    Search owner, address or parcel ID and save the parcel record, assessed acreage/value, legal description and map link available from the county.

  2. 02

    Compare deed and recorded plat

    The deed/legal description and recorded plat or subdivision records can reveal rights, dimensions and descriptions that the web map simplifies.

  3. 03

    Order/review title evidence

    Search easements, restrictions, exceptions, access rights, mineral interests and other recorded items that a tax parcel map does not show completely.

  4. 04

    Use a survey when location matters

    If a boundary, encroachment, easement, acreage, access or building setback affects the decision, use the appropriate survey product rather than measuring the GIS line.
